Therapy for Residents of Bethesda, MD

Welcome

Life can feel overwhelming at times. In today’s world, there are countless stressors—relationship challenges, financial pressures, climate-related concerns, political uncertainty, systemic injustice, and social inequities—all of which can contribute to feelings of anxiety, sadness, or even depression. These struggles can quietly affect our overall sense of balance and wellbeing.

Experiences of acute or ongoing trauma can also leave lasting marks on how we function day to day, creating both emotional and physical symptoms that ripple into our relationships, careers, and overall health. Sexuality and sexual wellness, often overlooked in life and in therapy, play a vital role in our overall happiness. Trauma—whether emotional, physical, or sexual—can deeply impact sexual functioning and our connection to intimacy.

If you’re noticing signs of stress, anxiety, or depression, or if your relationships feel less fulfilling than you’d like, support is here. At Alviva, you’ll find a compassionate, trauma-informed therapist who will help you heal, grow, and thrive in every area of your life.
